Our Family

Since I haven't posted anything lately relating to our family I thought I'd share a little update. Taylor just started 3rd grade a couple of weeks ago and WOW! what a difference from the last 3 grades we completed! I have to really think and I mean really think about her homework and most of the time I'm clueless. Of course some of it is due to different teaching methods these days but some of it is just plain old "if you don't use it, you lose it". For instance do any of you guys know what the predicate is in this sentence???

Courtlyn has two teeth now and runs the show at our house. She insists that our kitty cat is a dawg and has learned how to manuever her little rocking chair all over the place. She stands up in it and does tricks like she's Evil Knievel. She eats everything we give her and even takes her medicine like she's shooting kool-aid. What a difference from Taylor. Giving Taylor medicine was like hog-tying a calf and branding it's rear-end. We both came up bloody and worn out.

Not much to update where Chad and I are concerned but we have been attending a new church since April and we love it. We feel really blessed that the Lord led us there and that we have had several opportunities to become involved in the church. Chad even play's softball with the men on the church team. He's reliving his Glory Days. And he enjoy's it more than he admits! Thanks for stopping by! Love ya'll!

Dresses, Bows, Blankets and More....

My longtime friend Courtney has started her very own business making little girls dresses, bows, blankets, and more. Her things are absolutely adorable and she can make you these things out of whatever fabric you choose. I decided to post a few of her items so I could pass on the word about these adorable little girl necessities! If you're interested in any of these let me know and I'll get you in touch with Courtney.

Courtlyn's First Birthday!

Courtlyn turned the big O-N-E on the 2nd. It's unbelievable that so much time has passed and my baby is moving forward into the Toddler Years. It makes me tear up a little bit but more than anything I am amazed by her. She is so smart. She is very vocal ( I don't know where that might come from ). She loves loves loves to laugh which makes me laugh which in turn just cracks her up....we're good for each other! We had her a birthday party today and it was so much fun. We had pizza and cake with ice cream. Courtlyn enjoyed hers tremendously as you can tell by all the pics! Taylor was very helpful. Before I know it Courtlyn will be her age and Taylor will be driving. Uggghhhh! That's an awful scary thought! Courtlyn got lots of fun presents and her favorite was her Dora the Explorer Ride-on toy she got from Nana and Papaw! She's played on that thing all night. It was a hit - Great Job Nana and Papaw! Courtlyn is a very lucky little girl to have such an amazing extended family who love her very much. She is crazy about her Papa Bear and could sit with him for hours just hanging out. Her Gram takes care of her and makes sure she gets to school safe and sound. Pops got Courtlyn the cutest outfits so we now must ABSOLUTELY go have our pictures made - he gave Mommy great leverage for talking Daddy into it! We cannot wait to see what the next year holds for our little peanut!
